About the party
המחנה הציוני הייתה רשימה וסיעה משותפת למפלגת העבודה בראשות יצחק הרצוג, ומאוחר יותר אבי גבאי ומפלגת התנועה בראשות ציפי לבני. הרשימה הוקמה בדצמבר 2014, על ידי יו"ר מפלגת העבודה יצחק הרצוג ויו"ר מפלגת התנועה ציפי לבני לשם ריצה משותפת בבחירות לכנסת ה-20 במרץ 2015, ואליהם הצטרפה מפלגת התנועה הירוקה. ב־1 בינואר 2019 לקראת הבחירות לכנסת העשרים ואחת, הודיע יושב ראש מפלגת העבודה אבי גבאי, על פירוק המחנה הציוני, ובהמשך אותו יום אושרה ההתפלגות על ידי ועדת הכנסת.
